Conclusions and Recap

As a writer, I have developed many aspects of my academic career. Firstly, I have developed an immense discipline in my work, and I have learned how to focus on one task for a long period of time. I also learned that you have to study something that you enjoy, because if you don't, enjoy the work that you are preparing, then your quality will be worse, and you will not enjoy doing the work. Titanium Alloys and their practical applications interest me so much, and I feel like the amount of work that I put in is put to good use and will benefit others in the long run. Through my research process at OSU, and the work that I did in capstone, I feel like I have grown as a researcher and future projects will come easier to me, and they will become more readily available, and I will have the resources to conduct more research. Since this is a concurrent project, I am still researching, even though I have ended capstone. I plan to test more materials and compare more of them to Titanium, and show how they relate in terms of composition, texture, and hardness. For example, when I was using the LENS 3D printing technology, this was first when it came out and i got to use a novel technology that many industries hadn't been able to use. Dr. Hamish Fraser and I actually got to be really close after the project, and invited me to intern at CEMAS every summer should I choose OSU. Overall, it was a great experience and I plan to be able to do something like this in the future
